Guitarist | Developer

My name is Dave Bernier, and I'm a guitarist from Montreal, Canada. I've been playing guitar since I was 13, and I've always been a bit of a nerd. Growing up, I was passionate about music theory, computers, and video games.

As a freelance guitarist and musical director, I often find myself transcribing charts. I used to do this by hand with pen and paper, and then re-transcribe them on the computer to create a cleaner version. Afterward, I would send a PDF to everyone in the band so they could annotate it as needed for their specific instrument. This process was always frustrating because I felt like I was doing the same work twice, wasting valuable time.

My search for an app to streamline this process was disappointing. The available options were either too simple, lacking PDF export and space for annotation, or too complex, "heavy-duty," and expensive, making it difficult to quickly produce a well-laid-out chart.

That's why I created Chordsheet Maker. It strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and functionality. It's quick and easy to use, yet comprehensive enough to meet all your chart-making needs for the modern freelancer.
